Videos

Maya has started playing really well by herself which has freed me up to finally start to be able to get some things done outside of her naptimes. We certainly enjoy our playtime together but it's a nice break that she can now entertain herself and I love to see her learn and develop her independance. I noticed her playing by herself and grabbed the camera to see if I could capture a few precious moments. She didn't ignore the camera but didn't get so easily distracted by it. The videos are a bit long and I am posting them mainly for the grandparents but if you have the time and want to watch then I hope you enjoy.

In this video Maya is interacting with her toys, exploring and playing. Her favorite word is "dat" which means "what's that?" and says it constantly. She wants to know what everything is and will try and repeat the words that we say. She understands so many words and we are constantly amazed with how much she is growing and learning.

In this video, I noticed Maya playing with her cabbage patch doll, Leah. She was so intent on playing with her and after 10 minutes I thought I should get the camera to capture a bit. She just loves her hair and gave her lots of hugs but eventually loved a little too hard, I think. She thought it was funny.

So smart.... I know she will be talking sooner than we think. It is just going to come babbling out of her mouth and it will all make sense.
Love you Miss Maya
