On the move!

The day after we arrived back in Calgary after Christmas, Maya decided that she needed to do something more to keep mommy and daddy on their toes. So she started pulling herself up on to furniture. Thankfully, she is still not crawling so she needs to be near something first before she can get herself up but if she is sitting beside anything raised off the ground, she can now pull herself up on it. She does move quite easily by rolling and skooching (is skooch a word??...you know what I mean) on her belly and did once manage to get from her belly back to her bum so I suspect it won't be long before she can do it all on her own. Yikes. It makes us wonder if she will bypass crawling altogether and go right to walking. Double yikes!

The first video is the very first time she tried to get up onto the ottoman and after a few tries and daddy's hand for stability managed to do it. The second video is showing that she is an old pro after only a few days.
