We had a few weeks of very warm weather at the beginning of May and we took full advantage of it. Gracie's dad had just put up their new swingset and we were very excited to get out and enjoy it. Until now, we had to go to the park to get to the swings and the slide (two of Maya's very favorite things to do) and unfortunately our area doesn't have the greatest play structures so we were very excited that we had something close by and fun for the girls to share. They do have such fun together.
Cute video clip of the girls.
Maya has been asking to ride her tricycle for weeks and weeks but the weather had not been warm enough. Her favorite TV show is Sesame Street and in one episode Abby learns to ride a tricycle and since watching that episode, it's all she talked about. So at the first sign of warm weather, we got out her trike from uncle Nolan and auntie Danielle and Linken, took it out of the garage and had her first real ride. She did very well for her first try. We were very proud!
After playing outside on Gracie's swingset, we decided it was also time to get one for ourselves. Many of our family members gave Maya money for her birthday and we put it towards the "mac daddy" of play centers. We went all out and got the big wooden one from Costco. Nothing came assembled so it's a good thing that Jay is a handyman. It took him about 24 hours over 3 days to put it together but it turned out fabulous and Maya adores it. Maya even helped daddy put it together - what a cute sight to see them working together and to see Maya having such fun being daddy's little assistant.
TA-DA The finished product!!
I couldn't help but post this last video - one of the cutest we've taken of her so far!! Maya truely loves helping her daddy. She had such fun on this day!
